The Humboldt Public Library is proud to honor the legacy of Virginia C. Nicholson through this year’s Summer Reading Program. The Virginia C. Nicholson Children’s Library is named in her memory, recognizing her 25 years of dedication to teaching first graders in Humboldt and her lifelong love for children and education.

Former students, friends, and community members are encouraged to consider making a donation to support this year’s Summer Reading fun and activities in her memory. Your contribution helps provide exciting programs, crafts, storytimes, prizes, educational entertainment, and special activities for children throughout the summer.

Together, we can continue encouraging a love of reading and learning for the children of our community — just as Mrs. Nicholson did for so many years.
