Children's Room
The fun place where children of all ages come to find thousands of interesting and exciting books to read and enjoy. There are a lot of new ones in Junior fiction and Junior Non-fiction readers as well as easy readers.
There are three AWE Early Literacy Computers that have educational software games that make learning fun for children age three and up. Also, there is a new computer (that may be checked out to children age five to age nine with a current library card) that has internet access to help children with their homework.
PROGRAMS
Children of all ages are invited to attend many year round programs offered here.
Pre-School Storytime is presented the second Wednesday of the month September through May from 11:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. We have Story time for all pre-schoolers and encourage our home schoolers to also attend. Children are treated to a program of reading, puppets, music, games, crafts and refreshments. On occasion, we have outside presenters who share their expertise.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Home School Meetings are for home school children of all ages and are held each month the forth Wednesday at 2:00 during the school year for one hour. The month of February it will be the fifth Wednesday. Presenters give workshops on various areas of educational interest. Parents share ideas among one another. Drawing for door prizes and refreshments are served at each meeting.
Pumpkin Walk is where pre-schoolers come dressed in costume and trophies are given away to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners. We walk up and down Main Street in Humboldt collecting goodies from the many participating merchants. Afterwards, we have a party for the children and give away live pumpkins to decorate.
BOO Bash is an annual Fall event presented by the Junior Auxiliary Ladies of Humboldt where children dress in costume and listen to stories read by members of Humboldt Viking Football team and the Humboldt Viking Cheerleaders. The Auxiliary also gives out goodies to all the children.
Santa's Workshop is an annual Christmas event presented by the Junior Auxiliary Ladies of Humboldt where children Pre-K through 5th grade come to have their picture taken with Santa and shop for Christmas gifts. Members of the Auxiliary read Christmas stories to the children and they are given goodies.
CONTESTS 
Coloring Contest is for Children K through Grade 6 who are encourged to participate during the school year. Each month during the school year there is a new sheet to color and is due at the end of the month. Any medium may be used, the more crative the better! First and last name, phone number and grade MUST be on the sheet to be eligible. Prizes are awarded to first, second and third place winners.
